Every September, celebrities and world-class acts descend upon our humble little island for the annual Singapore Grand Prix. Even if you’re not a fan of the race, there are still plenty of events and activities to check out during the weekend.
1. Kylie Minogue
Australian popstar Kylie Minogue will be headlining at this year’s F1 concerts, performing some of her best hits for the crowd. The award-winning performer has had eight sold-out concert tours, appeared as a judge on The Voice and even closed for the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

2. Bastille
British indie pop band Bastille will also be headlining this year, so fans can look forward to hits like Things We Lost In The Fire, Oblivion and Of The Night, as well as new releases from their latest album Wild World. Their hit song Pompeii was on the UK Top 100 chart for 92 consecutive weeks, and was even the most streamed song in the United Kingdom for over a year.

3. Imagine Dragons
Get ready to sing along to some pretty catchy tunes, because Imagine Dragons will be performing at this year’s F1 concerts. The band, which debuted in 2012, already has two award-winning albums under their belt. Besides their hit song Demons, fans can also look forward to other chart-toppers like It’s Time, On Top Of The World and more at their concert.

4. Gentle Bones
Now here’s one for the indie music fans out there. Gentle Bones will take the stage this year to perform crowd favourites like Until We Die, Save Me and more. The Singaporean singer and songwriter, whose real name is Joel Tan, was the first local music act to be signed on by Universal. His second EP Geniuses and Thieves also debuted at the top spot on iTunes.

5. Pentatonix
With close to 11 million YouTube subscribers, two Grammys and a feature in Pitch Perfect 2, Pentatonix is no doubt one of the most popular acts in the acapella scene. Their latest eponymous album Pentatonix, which includes the popular single Can’t Sleep Love, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

6. Amber Lounge Singapore
While Amber Lounge may not be everyone’s cup of tea, this is probably where you’ll get to see the who’s who of the F1 season. The exclusive after-party will take place over 2 nights, with a fashion show, live performances and international DJs in the lineup of activities. The F1 drivers and their respective teams will also celebrate the end of the race at the closing party on Sunday.

7. The Circuit at 1-Altitude
Prefer to party in peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the F1 race track? Roof bar 1-Altitude offers breathtaking aerial views of the race activities – from 282 metres above sea level.

8. The Podium Lounge
As one of the key off-track events for the F1 season in Singapore, The Podium Lounge promises a spectacular line up of activities – including a fashion show, international music acts and even a live auction of autographed personal items from F1 drivers. Party guests can also look forward to performances by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Richard Jones, Mark Doyle, the Fierce Angel Collective and Estelle.
