Pharrell Williams

Get ready to sing yourselves Happy, because singer-songwriter, record producer and rapper extraordinaire Pharrell Williams will be making his debut as a solo artist at the Padang Stage this F1 weekend. The seven-time Grammy winner has produced music for artistes like Beyonce, Daft Punk and Ed Sheeran, so you can be sure that his own concert will be nothing short of spectacular.

Maroon 5

Date: 19 September (Saturday)

This September, three-time Grammy award winner Maroon 5 returns to Singapore to serenade you with their signature sounds. If you’re a diehard Adam Levine fan, this is your chance to perv on him sing along to chart-topping hits like Misery, Sugar and Animals.

Oh and the last time Maroon 5 was here for the F1 weekend in 2012, they performed to a 50,000 strong crowd at the Padang. Back by popular demand indeed.

Bon Jovi

Date: 20 September (Sunday)

For the first time in over two decades, Bon Jovi and his award-winning rock band will take the stage in Singapore this F1 weekend. Get ready to relive your angsty teenage years with hits like It’s My LifeLivin’ on a Prayer and You Give Love A Bad Name. Bon Jovi may now be in his 50s, but hey, he’s still got the beat.

The Sam Willows (Singapore)

Date: 18 September (Friday) & 20 September (Sunday)

Following their well-received performance at last year’s Formula 1, local band The Sam Willows returns again this year to charm the crowd with their popular brand of music. With 55000 subscribers (and counting) on their YouTube channel, The Sam Willows are undoubtedly one of the most popular music acts in Singapore.

If you’re a fan of them (or the Kheng siblings wink wink), don’t miss out on their concert this F1 weekend because who knows, they might even preview some songs from their upcoming debut album.

Amber Lounge After Party

What’s an F1 weekend without glamorous after parties to see and be seen at? The original F1 afterparty at Amber Lounge is back for two nights of extravagance and hobnobbing with names like Adam Levine, Lewis Hamilton and um, apparently the Prince of Monaco as well.

Not to rain on your parade though, but the entry fee is pretty pricey. Individual tickets start at $900 (includes unlimited drinks and access to all areas) and tables start from $8000 (includes passes for 8 guests). But hey, when else are you going to get to (possibly) clink champagne glasses with F1 drivers eh?

Just because you’re not a baller, it doesn’t mean you can’t still party in style. The good folks at Loof rooftop bar are celebrating the F1 weekend with good music and 1-for-1 Asian Sensation cocktails (wave your F1 lanyards to enjoy the deal). The best part? You’ll still be close to the action, without having to deal with the road blocks and insane traffic jams. Oh, and you won’t have to shell out a few grand for a table and some pretty good drinks either. Hear, hear.

The Steve McQueens: F1 Edition

Date: 15 September (Tuesday)

If you want to kickstart your F1 weekend on a less harried note, head down to The Black Swan for some cocktails, canapés and jazz music by The Steve McQueens. Their signature dulcet tones will help you unwind, as you kick back with some wine and oysters on ice.

The Black Swan will also be having an extended Happy Hour promotion for both alcohol and oysters from 14 to 19 September (5pm – 9pm), so if you work in the CBD area you know where to go for after-work drinks.
