Be prepared for an adrenaline-pumping display of martial arts prowess, acrobatic acts and of course, enough slapstick humour to leave you chuckling all night.
Bored of your usual dinner and movie routine? Change things up with a different kind of film experience at the Perspectives Film Festival. The student-run event celebrates breakthroughs in cinema, through a curated selection of film screenings. This year’s edition shines the spotlight on mavericks who have challenged the norm, from Matthew Heineman’s City of Ghosts, which highlights the courage of Syrian group Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS) to Black Girl, a story about a black Senegalese woman who moves to France to work for a white family. For more information on the films, see here.

Ready for a major teenage #throwback? The Backstreet Boys will be performing in Singapore for one night only, in conjunction with the BNP Paribas WTA Finals this year. The boy band’s previous In A World Like This tour was extended multiple times due to overwhelming demand, so you can expect this concert to hit all the right notes. Plus, Singapore is the group’s only stop in Asia this time round, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to sing along to your favourite teenage songs. Time to gather your secondary school friends for a reunion, perhaps?
