1. Smoke & Mirrors

Perched atop the Old Supreme Court building (now known as the National Gallery), Smoke & Mirrors is a fairly new bar in the scene. The atmosphere is classy without being stuffy (both literally and figuratively speaking), with an open air area where you can get a good view of the Singapore skyline. There is also an indoor area with air-conditioning, because you know, melting makeup and all.
The cocktails at Smoke & Mirrors pay homage to Southeast Asian flavours, with interesting options like the Papaya Daiquiri and Milo Haze. The bar food is not too shabby either, with a Grilled Wagyu Beef Burger, Spiced Calamari Rings and Roasted Pork Belly on the menu.
Best for: If you’re planning on taking lots of Instaworthy photos of your girls’ night out.

2. Lantern

Situated by the Fullerton Bay Hotel poolside, Lantern is a stylish rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Marina Bay waterfront. The ambience is chill but chic – you won’t find anyone lounging about in swimwear here – and the menu has a pretty extensive selection of drinks. Ladies get free flow vodka long drinks between 8pm to 9pm on Wednesdays, so you know where to go if you really need to unwind after work.
Best for: If you really, really need a drink. Or two. Or maybe more. Free flow vodka long drinks, remember?

3. Catalunya

Catalunya is a stylish den of delightful cocktails and delicious tapas, with a sophisticated atmosphere to complement its award-winning menu. The cocktail selection is a mix of classic favourites like the Negroni and Sangria, as well as interesting concoctions like Alice In Wonderland (vodka with carrot, lemon and honey) and the Zombie (rum, lime juice and a super secret Zombie mix).
Ladies get one-for-one cocktails on Wednesdays, so the more the merrier.
Best for: If you and your girls feel like dressing up and painting the town red.

4. D.Bespoke

Helmed by Japanese mixologist Daiki Kanetaka, D.Bespoke is fashioned after the posh cocktail bars of Tokyo. The menu boasts a wide selection of champagne, wine and whisky, but you can also request for a made-to-order cocktail based on your preferences. If you like your drinks sweet, ask for a fruit-based cocktail – D.Bespoke uses premium Japanese fruit, so you’ll definitely be in for a treat.
Atmosphere-wise, the place is pretty quiet – but not awkwardly so. Just don’t expect any music or noisy crowds there. Service is also top-notch, with knowledgeable and attentive waiters at your service. They also give you hand towels (not the cheap paper towel kind, either) because well, classy bar is #classy.
Best for: That much-needed heart-to-heart with your BFFs, over some pretty damn good drinks.

5. Terra Singapore

Not to be confused with the Tokyo Italian restaurant by the same name, Terra is a spacious rooftop bar at Suntec City’s new Sky Garden. The menu features Latin American influences, with drinks like Piscola (Pisco and cola), Cachaca (a Brazilian cocktail) and of course, Sangria. Bar bites include Chorizo Empanadas, Seafood Chimichanga, Piquillo Peppers and more.
The atmosphere at Terra is generally quite relaxed, but it does get a bit more club-like after midnight on weekends. Still, the crowd there seems to be a bit more casual, so you can probably get away with wearing a cute dress and your favourite pair of flats.
Best for: If you want to go out, but can’t deal with wearing heels.

6. Hi-So Rooftop Bar

Fancy some day drinking? Hey, no judging here. Rally the girls together and kickstart your Saturday at one of Hi So Rooftop Bar’s pool parties, where you can drink, dance and generally feel like you’re 21 again.
Drinks are a little pricer than usual (it is located in a CBD hotel, after all) but the Ladies’ Night promotions aren’t too shabby. The men aren’t forgotten here either, with 35% off spirits on Mondays for Gentlemen’s Night.
Best for: Guilt-free day drinking. And stunning views, of course.
