Amò is a new smart casual dining concept by Italian restauranteur Beppe De Vito (of the ilLido Group), set in a shophouse with an open concept bar and kitchen. The food draws influences from all parts of Italy, but the menu focuses on shared dishes such as Spaghettoni with Boston Lobster and Tarragon, Grilled Sea Bass with Spring Vegetables and Mint Casserole and Butter Roasted Golden Chicken, all served in portions for two. Pizza is also a staple on the menu, with enticing picks like the Mushrooms, Truffle, Mascarpone and Tuscan Pecornio Pizza or the classic Margherita with Buffalo Mozzarella, San Marzano Tomato and Basil.

BAKALAKI Greek Taverna

If Mediterranean cuisine is your thing, you will be pleased to know that BAKALAKI Greek Taverna is now open at Tiong Bahru. The restaurant, which sources its ingredients from authentic Greek suppliers, offers an extensive menu of Mediterranean dishes — with a selection of Greek wines and beers to boot. Highlights from the menu include the Htapodi (Grilled octopus with lemon, oregano and their in-house Bakalaki extra virgin olive oil) and the Soakibrizola Me Kokalo (Grilled bone in ribeye steak).

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how Instaworthy the place is?! Future home #goals for sure.

Lunar Coffee Brewers

Address: Downtown Gallery, 6 Shenton Way, Singapore 068809 | Opening Hours: 8am – 8pm (Monday to Friday); 9am – 3pm (Saturdays); Closed on Sundays | Contact Number: 6224 4500

Contrary to what its name may suggest, Lunar Coffee Brewers offers more than just coffee. In fact, the newly-opened restaurant offers a tempting selection of comfort food — such as a Korean-style gochujang chicken rice bowl and a Lu Rou (Braised Pork) Belly rice bowl. The place was opened by the same people behind Atlas Coffeehouse, so don’t be surprised if you spot some familiar dishes on the menu. Oh, and have we mentioned the best part yet? They also have soft serve on the menu. Earl grey soft serve. #yaaas

The Dragon Chamber

Address: 68 Orchard Road #03-02 Plaza Singapura Singapore 238839 | Opening Hours: 11.30am – 3pm; 5.30pm – 10pm daily | Reservations: 6884 4566

Tung Lok’s newest offering, Lokkee, took Instagram by storm when it opened at Plaza Singapura last year. It is no surprise then, that their new speakeasy dining concept is equally interesting (and Instaworthy, of course). Located within Lokkee itself, The Dragon Chamber offers a somewhat clandestine experience, from the dimly-lit interior to unusual menu offerings like pig’s tail and crocodile paw. Don’t worry if your stomach doesn’t feel up to it though — you can still order dishes off Lokkee’s menu, and no one will judge you (OK, maybe a little).
