Started by designers Sven Tan and Kane Tan (who have several awards and gigs under their belt), In Good Company focuses on high quality essentials that are classic, modern and feminine. From wardrobe staples (that could give COS a run for their money *cough*) to versatile day-to-night dresses, In Good Company is a good place to find wearable and affordable everyday outfits.

2. Beyond The Vines

If you’re a fan of the minimalist look, Beyond The Vines may be right up your alley. The contemporary womenswear label is all about basic essentials with thoughtful twists – think classic shirt dresses in soft hues and midi skirts in varying textures and materials.

3. Our Second Nature

Our Second Nature may be the new kid on the block, but the brand has already established a loyal following for its playful prints and casual chic pieces. You can expect to find classics with a special twist, such as a unique hem or updated silhouette, as well as well-cut basics for both work and play. Prices are also relatively affordable for the quality and workmanship of the items, so the brand is a good alternative to COS.

4. KLARRA

Started by local influencer marketing expert Beatrice Tan, KLARRA has been around longer than most of the labels in this list. The brand offers two lines that cater to different needs – the main KLARRA line is younger and more casual, while the FRONTROW BY KLARRA line is slightly pricier, but with dressier pieces in more premium fabrics. Besides playful basics like textured crop tops and striped jumpsuits, you can also expect versatile work essentials, such as shift dresses that will easily take you from day to night. KLARRA also offers complimentary personalised styling sessions at their studio.

5. GINLEE Studio

GINLEE Studio is admittedly one of the pricier options for casual wear, but they do have some pretty nice prints and fabrics. The collection mainly consists of casual weekend pieces in soft, airy fabrics, as well versatile separates for day-to-day wear. The sizing seems to run a bit small though, so you might want to try on some of the pieces before purchasing.

6. Aijek
Prices range from $179 to $469. Available online and at various stockists. Shipping fee to addresses in Singapore is $12 for the first item and $5 for each subsequent item.
If delicate lace and romantic evening wear are your thing, then look no further than Aijek. The label has plenty of pretty dresses with intricate details, as well as a few statement jumpsuits for an edgier vibe. Prices are steep though, and they don’t have the best shipping policy, but you can always try out the pieces at one of their local stockists first.
