Spring Wardrobe Staples
We may not have the four traditional seasons here in Singapore, but that doesn’t mean our closets have to be the same all year round. Fashion blogger Jessica Tham (@tippytapp) shows us how to work key spring pieces for a seasonal update.
White is right.
Whether it’s a pair of crisp white pants or a pretty midi dress with embroidery detailing, white is always right when it comes to Spring. As an added bonus, white pieces also transition easily into your summer wardrobe.
Let your shoes do the talkin’.
The best way to make a statement for Spring? Colourful shoes that pop against a white outfit (and make for a good Instagram photo).
Pretty prints, please.
Now what’s a Spring wardrobe without some pretty prints? Printed pieces, such as the skirt Jessica is wearing, will instantly make a statement. To keep the look from being too over-the-top, pair prints with neutral colours such as beige, white or light grey.
Beige is all the rage.
With all the bright colours and prints you’ll be wearing this season, nude staples and accessories are a must. A classic bag in light beige or grey will work with most Spring outfits, as will a pair of white or beige flats.
